Laelia furfuracea

    C8C84B62-7E5C-4AE6-AEB3-7ECB797D2F3A.jpeg I’ve been trying to get this thing to grow and flower for the past 6 years. This is the first time it’s spiked. Some buds blasted in a cold night but at least I got to see the terminal flower!

    Really wish for this to become a specimen with multiple spikes.

    Don’t know, it came with the place. I’ve never seen one in flower to make conjecture about the ploidy. When it starts growing roots again, I’ll do a squash and count.

    In the meantime, I selfed it today.

    PS- does anyone know genome size for diploid of this species?
