    The purpuratas have begun blooming, a little late this year, but after the dark, snowy, record-setting cold winter we had, I'm just glad to see them bloom at all. This is the first blooming of this for me. I was hoping for a somewhat paler lip, but am still quite taken with the flowers. I expect the form may improve on subsequent bloomings. mandaiana0514.jpg

    I have a hard time keeping all of the color designations straight. It is lovely!
