Long one of my favorites, this tiny plant produces flowers as large as its growths at 4.5". I got this as a seedling probably 10-12 years ago and grew it in slotted clay pots in osmunda until it was outgrowing its 5" pot. I then moved it, osmunda and all, into an 8" teak vanda basket and added clay pellets to fill in, wanting to keep the entire mass very well drained and fresh. Watered weekly (a bit more often in the summer, given cattleya light levels, intermediate temps, at 60 growths and eleven flowers now, it has done well for me.

Beautiful blooming and photography. This makes my little plant look really sad.
