    Hello everyone!
I need some help with a Laelia purpurata var. schusteriana that I have acquired recently (about 3 weeks ago). The rhizome just seems a bit off to me as I normally deem brown tissue (that is expected to be green) on plants not good. Should this be of concern to me or am I just panicking for no reason. Oh and I shoud add that the tissue is firm.
Thanks in advance for all of your anwsers. 20220619_202911.jpg 20220619_202806.jpg

Looks like a division from an older plant and nothing to be concerned about.

So the rhizome naturally turms a tan or brown color?

It can, with age. I have seen light green, dark green, light brown, dark brown, and purple in healthy tissue.
