This beautiful, delicate and variable species of Lepanthes is endemic to Colombia and grows at elevations around 1900m in a place where mist and clouds form every day of the year around 4-5pm making it very humid. There are many other species of Lepanthes and other pleurothallids there.

    Enjoy!

Outstanding! Is it shape, color, size that vary? Or all of that?

Hi Marni. In my experience it is color from very light yellow and faintly red lip to yellow and blushed in red petals with bright red lip, and shape of the petals with more or less prominent bifurcations of upper and lower lobes.

Always pleasant to see you posts and other excellent one at that. By any chance do you have a pic of the entire plant? I really envy the fact that you can see these in situ.

I have some pics for you as well on the other species we discussed.
