    Hello Lepanthophiles,

The Marsipanthes section in genus Lepanthes has all my favourite species. One of the best known ones among collectors is Lepanthes felis (The Cat), and it is a very variable species in size, shape and colors.
It grows in shady and very humid cloud forests and I have found it at elevations from 2000-2500m.

Here is a composite image showing three different forms:

And another shot showing it in-situ:

    Enjoy!

Wonderful little plants and flowers. As always, thanks for the in-situ shot.

I don't have this one and I'll fix this "problem" in near future. Thanks.

I always wondered why this species was called felis, until one day that I accidentally looked at a photo of it oriented upside down ( the photo, not me).

Some forms I've seen, but others not. Thanks for expanding our horizons. It is a jewel.

ODV has it from time to time for the last three years, Brett. I can pre-order it but I am still hoping I can get it at show after I see the actual plant.
