These are first blooms from a Lepanthes felis I got from Ecuagenera. It's one I picked out during a visit last year. It only had three mature leaves when I picked it so I was kind of nervous about whether it would survive shipment. It arrived with two leaves, but it did survive! And the flowers its producing look a little nicer than when I saw it in bloom at the nursery (photos of original flower I saw and plant I received included in attachment)!

It's sending up new shoots, so hoping it will grow strong and be a good bloomer. I'm growing this in my cold cooler. It's a Colombian species from 1900-2500 m.

There seems to be a lot of interesting variation in the species. I would love a little collection of these capturing that variation. I have another one that's yet to bloom that's a little darker and I just placed an order for one from Colombian Orchid Imports!!

Shot of the whole plant. It has three new shoots at various stages of development!! Hoping all of them mature.

Nice! I love the cute green horn thingy in the middle of the flower.

Yes!! I love the contrast of that green color against the reddish and cream colors. The green horns are the petals and the little pointy thing in the middle is the column where the pollen and stigma are held! This seems like an easy one to pollinate as far as Lepanthes are concerned!! :)
