Lepanthes manabina EDIT: probably L. gargoyla

    This species has been posted several times over the years but it is one of my favorites. Kew accepts this name and L. mastadon is a synonym. It is from Colombia and Ecuador.
    I grow this in bright shade with daily summer water. Intermediate.
    It is a heavy bloomer and generates lots of keikis. Blooms are 15-17 mm height and the leaves are up to 65 mm long on a ramicaul that can be up to 15 cm (on my plant).

    The new leaves are smooth and as they age they get fuzzy.
