Lepanthes minetii

    Recently got my hands on this gem. Not quite fully open yet, but I couldn't resist taking some photos. Such an amazing flower even though it is just over 6 mm in size.

    It's a very nice one but for me difficult to grow so it seems, I already killed two. Do you grow it cool or warm? Ecuagenera grows it at their El Pangui nursery, that is in the Amazon basin so warm.

    Hmm. I've only had the plant for a week so time will tell. I am keeping it intermediate at the moment. 24 C max day, and 12 C max night.

    guess it’s not just me then… I’ve also killed two. I got the feeling it was happier during the winter, for what it’s worth. The original description does not mention a locality so I guess we have no clue about the elevation range of this species.

    In canton de Limon Indanza, Ecuador. altitude 1500m, growing in the same site as L. uxoria. I would treat it as intermediate.
