I have always lusted over a few in this genus but have never run into any of them for sale commercially anywhere. I was just wondering if I wasn't looking hard enough or in the right places. Does anyone know of any sources out there commercially (or privately if you are able to share them with me privately :D)

EDIT: Of course other than Lepanthopsis astrophora which is the only one of the genus I have found and already own :D

I used to have L. melanantha but I don't recall where it came from. Hoosiers? TOF? Got me.

    Ecuagenera lists 3 species.

    Thanks Eddie

As a matter of fact I recieved the new catalog from TOF in the mail today and also thier website and they didn't have any. I looked at Ecuagenera while at Longwood a couple weeks back and they didn't have any with them so if I can't find any in the US I will have to pre-order from them for next year.

J&L has some sometimes, so does Orquideas del Valle.

Thanks Marni...I will email J&L and ask as they don't have any listed on thier website. It has been over a year too since I have been up to thier greenhouse and at that time I was not looking for these

Check with Gary Meyer at http://www.colombianorchidimports.com/Pages/Misc_Pleuro.html. He lists 3. He brings in plants from Colomborquideas, so you have to order in advance, but definitely a great source that I would highly recommend.

You might also email Tropical Orchid Farm. I got a little red one a few years ago when I was there and they may have others in small quantities that aren't on their list.

TOF has LEPANTHOPSIS astrophora 'Stalky' for $8. I have been looking at it for a while.

I second the suggestion of Gary Meyer at Colomborquideas. I have gotten a lot of plants from him, and they were all good. I'll check and see if I have a Lepanthopsis other than astrophora and, if so, whether it's big enough to divide. If I don't I'm going to have to order those other species that Gary has!
