I noticed some fruiting bodies on the pestilential liverwort when I was counting spikes on my Cleisocentron merrillianum this morning. Couldn't resist making a photo.

Thanks for posting this. Just last night I was doing some internet research to find out what that stuff is. Now I know. I haven't seen the stalks like you photographed but have noticed the little cupules. Cool photo too.

"Can we get a whole bryophyte shot?"

No. I weeded that crap out of there after I made the photo. It'll be back though, I'm sure.

"Since its so pestilential, can I have some?"

No. It's a noxious green house weed. If you order a potted plant from Andy, you'll almost certainly get some.

Really great shot. I got liverworts from Andy too. We should start a support group.

Mine came from a basket of Dracula polyphemus that he provided for the OSSC's raffle table a few years ago. But the liverwort isn't much of a pestilence for me as there aren't too many spots in my growing area that stay moist enough for it.

Andy really has some of the coolest "weeds" though. Here's an Aeschynanthus that came up on one the orchids that he imported from Thailand.

Chris, I might have a few liveworts to spare. If you have any live moss I'd be interested in a trade.
