Masdevallia amoena

    Masdevallia amoena is from Ecuador. Unfortunately, it is not known where exactly it was found. So also not at what height. I received this one in late April and it has been hanging outside since mid-May. The plant seems to like that because she is now flowering with one flower and two more are on the way. For a rather small masdevalia species, this one has rather large flowers of over 3 cm. It belongs to the group with the movable lip (Oscillantes). A very similar species is M. rosacea, which has no movable lip.
