This is my Masdevallia fuchsii that was purchased by a friend from Marni. It blooms more than a few times from each growth which is always a plus in Masdies. I noticed that my flowers have a pronounced dimple on the fused sepals. which I had not seen in other pics. Marni, have you noticed this in any of your flowerings?

Chad, I've bloomed a lot of these seedlings and have never seen that on any of them. Also, it is oriented 180 degrees to what would be expected. Weird. Do all of the flowers have the dimple?

I can't recall on the dimple, but it is so pronounced that I can't believe I would have missed it. I will have to confirm it on the next bloom.
What exactly do you mean on the flowers orientation? Do you say that because it is not facing forward?

I mean that the lateral sepals are pointing up. The flowers normally present themselves face forward.
