Masdevallia hartmanii

I keep her therefore cool to intermediate. In winter temps drop to 10C and a mac from about 20C. In summer she is outside in the shade.

    I am guessing that this is named for Hartmann Mendoza, for whom Masdevallia mendozae is also named?

    Nice plant, either way...

    You could be right but I wouldn’t know. IOSPE stated a Ecuadorian discoverer of the late 20th century.

    Very nice...mine is only about 1/2 the size of yours, but it is in bloom most of the year. I would put very high on my favorite list.
