Great Masdevallia specie from Bolivia. Cool growing specie. It was flowering in May when the photos were taken and has survived the warm summer months well. Sweden is a pain in the ass when it comes to climate for growing orchids. It is either completely dark and blistering cold in winter, or scorching hot and 24 hours daylight in summer.

Another set of flowers is forming now.

Mika, very nice growing this beauty, considering the climate. Great job!

Beautiful, and interesting! Does the flower has opening for pollinators? It makes me want to dissect it to see the mechanism.

Nice. I saw the other and realized it was pixelated to obscure it.

That's a great graphic. Thanks. Is the lip hinged or is fused to the sepals?

Very nice, Alfonso! Thank you. The reduced petal looks translucent.

    Yeah! The petals are translucent!

The lip is hinged. The only things fused are the sepals, they're also interesting because they have little crests along the point of connation near the opening of the tube.
