Masdevallia pachyura

    I got this one at J&L a few years ago. It's mounted on a sassafras branch and seems to like it there. The plant grows up on the rhizome so growing this one in a pot is a little complicated. Only 3 spikes right now, but last year and when we bought it, it was blooming in January/February, so there is still some hope for more.

    I'm drooling. Mine grows ok, but hasn't shown any sign of wanting to bloom :cry:

    I have this one so I need to go down stairs and check it out to see if it has any spikes ;)

    Sassafras! that's a very interesting choice of wood for a mount...I would never have thought of trying to use that.
