Here's a first bloom from a Bolivian species that I recently imported from Germany.

    Closely related to discoidea?

This one is actually more closely related to species like Masdevallia uniflora. M. discoidea is part of a group that has successively flowered inflorescences and a lip that is divided in the middle by a marginal fold. The habit of M. quasimodo is pretty similar to M. discoidea though. Both have flowers on short flowering stems held around the base of the plant. The flowers are also similar in that the sepals don't spread widely apart.
