Hello Mike, I've grown a plant I got from Ecuagenera a couple of years ago. It's grown for me, slowly, but I haven't seen blooms yet. I think part of the reason it hasn't bloomed is where it is located in the greenhouse. In order to give it the cold temperatures it prefers, I grow it on the floor of my cool greenhouse, where I suspect it isn't getting enough light to bloom. It gets a winter minimum of 50 F with a maximum summer temp of about 70. A friend of mine grew an amazing specimen on the coast of Oregon in an unheated greenhouse. Her minimum temperature was about 40, occasionally down to 35, with a maximum summer temperature of about 65. Since I haven't seen mine bloom, I'm not sure the quality.

Hi William, thanks for the reply, it seems Equegenera is one of the only sources. Since I grow under lights I can get as bright as I need to and my winter temps are 48-50 nights to 72-76 days
in summer I can hold the 76 for a daytime high but nights are more like 60.

I wish I had more experience to advise on the summer night temperatures, mine are around 55...I'm not sure if those 5 degrees would make a difference. I'm pretty sure it could work in your conditions, but can't say for sure. I know they resent drying out. I tried a piece of mine mounted and it just didn't stay moist enough. I think mine will be divide-able by the end of summer if you don't locate one before then. I'm also headed to the Pacific orchid exposition in a few weeks...I'll keep my eyes open for a good clone.

    Hi Willaim
Just ran into Equagenera at the Deep Cut orchid show here in NJ and picked up two nice plants of M. rosea.
