Maxillaria acuminata

    Lousy pictures... sorry. If I can take some better ones tomorrow I'll post them here.

    Max. acuminata is a miniature from Mexico to Peru. I grow this one intermediate with filtered bright light. I may move this small division to shadier conditions and see how it does. For me this has been a slow grower compared to some of the similar sized plants such as Encyclia polybulbon and Epidendrum porpax which I grow next to this species.

    Very nice photos really. I've had this growing on a Croton sp. tree in front of my house in Colombia. It has died out though.
