Ten flowers open and six buds about to. Grown in a mix of hand-chopped sphagnum and orchiata bark and some large sponge rock in a plastic basket. One of the rewards of all the effort (and expense) of the new cool case I set up last year. I have killed three of these before; over a couple years, they simply turn brown and die during our summers even in front of the greenhouse's coolers. In the case, days reach 72/74ºF, and nights are set to 52ºF. This one has taken off in the last year and finally given me my first blooms. Well worth the effort!

It is wonderful! It must be gratifying to have all that work pay off.
