Pook, I just bought a large one from Jon. It was so packed in the pot that I couldn't
tell what the potting medium was and I cleaned everthing out and packed it loosely
in long-fibered sphagnum in a clay orchid pot with lots of drainage. Medium bright
light and that's about all I could find to do with it. Your's appears to be in a regular
orchid potting mix? Does it need to dry out between waterings? Tips on care will
    be deeply appreciated.

Angela, this is in a moisture retentive mix of small diatomite and chc. It came from Hoosier 2 years ago so you know it was small when I got it! I grow it in low light and cool-intermediate temps.

Hmmmm...may have to re-think the light situation and maybe temps. too. Uh oh.

I grow this species mounted on cork in moderate light in both cool and intermediate conditions. It gets water frequently, but dries between waterings. It has done very well.

    Not rufescens. Possibly M. muelleri.
