Growing at 9000 feet of altitude in Ecuador.
Kind of a strange one,Ricardo. You must have gotten short of breathe up there.
Thats reeeeeeeeeeealy high!
It's probobly freezing too.
I had a bit of difficulty the first day, but after the jet lag eased I was ok. In this location day temperatures are 77F and 45 at night, with no variation whatsoever, year round.
I though it would be colder.
The location is close to the Earth's equator, it is hot and steamy in the lowlands and you have to climb quite high in the mountains to see snow. In the place I was you probably have to go up to 15,000 feet to see any snow.
Maybe Max. cucullata or one of its close relatives?
