Hi, I acquired recently this Maxillaria but it didn't have the label so I sat down and searched on orchidspecies.com through all the Maxillaria genus and found two that could be possible ID I think that it could be Maxillaria superflua or Maxillaria proboscidea, which of these two is that's the question....any help appreciated :D thank you!!!!!!!! ;)

ps: the flowers smell like sweets

You have true Max. superflua - you can see the top of the pseudobulbs. Recently authors have put into synonymy Max. tarumaensis which has the pseudobulbs completely concealed and a slight twist to the base of the leaves. Maxillaria proboscidea has flowers like an iris - the sepals are spreading in a triangle and the petals and lip are strongly bent inward around the column. The inflorescences are also longer ad more slender. The pseudobulbs of Max. proboscidea are big, glossy, and resemble a hybrid Odontoglossum.
