Maxillaria tonsbergii

    I moved this into the orchidarium last year. It obviously likes it there as this is my best blooming. So I thought it worthy of posting. B90C4CDF-92CD-44FE-9C7D-4AA8FB6B7145.jpeg It originally came from Marni.

    Gorgeous, mine is about to bloom too. I used to keep several cool-growing (not this one since tonsbergii tolerates warm temperatures rather well) Maxillarias in my grow tent but had to move them to the greenhouse. They grow so BIG! Now I'm just waiting to see which ones will die this summer and which are survivors. The only one that is still in a grow tent is M. speciosa. Can't bloom it, though.

    It clearly likes the change. Mine came from my friend Christian Tonsberg who imported the plant labeled M nigrescens.
