This very rare species is found in the Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon, Gabon, Rwanda and Uganda in cool dense forests. The blooms arise from the central growing point on an inch long inflorescence that holds 3-6 flowers. The pristine white and neon green blooms are only about 1/2 inch long. This particular plant had three buds, two of which matured and opened, while the other still grows. The blooms are very sensitive to movement. As you can see in the photos, I barely touched one of the flowers (which just opened this morning) and it fell off. I've probably said this before, but this has to be my absolute favorite species due to its uniqueness.

That is wonderful. Congratulations on the blooming.

    It looks like wintergreen candy.

Cute little thing. I've had one since last year. Growing well, but still hasn't bloomed. Good to know about how delicate the spikes are.

Yes I did pollinate the flower that stayed intact. The flower had closed this evening, so fingers crossed.
