I don't know about others, but i was afraid this would DIMP if i won the auction. I think the description scared me a bit on how hard it is to grow! It certainly is a highly desirable species.

I know I could have killed it in short order, that's why I didn't bid.

The plant isn't for the faint hearted. Tom is an accomplished grower, and I'm pretty sure he will do well with the thing. I'm glad it's going to a skilled grower's home.

If you kill it Tom, best to keep it a secret. There could be public shame about that one.

:D Kidding of course. Mine is gimping along.

There won't be a public shame if I can mummify the plant before it dies:D

FWIW, mine is growing with warmer minimum temps than Jon's (60-65 at the coolest in the winter), and while it is always in growth and is established, it hasn't flowered.

Thanks, Chris. It sounds like yours is growing very well. How big is your plant?

Tom, it's made 3 new growths in the last 9 months. My biggest problem is keeping more than 1-2 leaves on it at at a time (it readily drops old leaves, although the bulbs stay healthy and the roots continue to grow), although I think it might finally be turning that corner.

Maybe your leaf problem is related to temps, Chris...
