I got this pot in a trade on another forum a while ago the person no longer is active on their so I can't message them. But maybe someone can help me find out where to get these pots. Is it some sort of net pot? I put a encyclia polybulbon from Wpinnx(Thanks;)) and it is doing really great roots and all Screenshot_2016-04-02-19-04-47.png Screenshot_2016-04-02-19-05-06.png Screenshot_2016-04-02-19-04-58.png

I don't know what it is but it was probably repurposed and was not made to be a pot. Only guessing, though.

I have used the wire cages made to hold suet for birds that way, stuffed full of sphagnum.

I might try that. I like the small compact pots for my grow space gives more room for plants:D. I was thinking of making mini wooden baskets too, but undecided on design/shape.

[IMG] do you mean something like this? A grower in the Netherlands (Wubben) uses it a lot

I recently tried a similar idea to Ray's bird feeder as plants but using the wire wisk balls for shaker bottles used to mix up protein shakes. I filled them up with sphagnum along with a little shredded tree fern and plants some plants on them.

I have a Catt walkeriana on one that is doing quite well and Dendro kingianum that is struggling but it wasn't doing that well to start. I am excited have a little ball of a plant.
