I have very few orchids that can match the color of this species. Endemic to Jamaica in the Blue mountains at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters. Grow it intermediate, RO/Rain water. 20230923_124531.jpg 20230923_124537.jpg 20230923_124541.jpg 20230923_124543.jpg

Tidy plant you have there! Can’t wait for mine to have multiple spikes.

What temps exactly are you groing this in? I've learned different people have diferent ideas of cool, intermediate, wram, hot, etc. I have found for me this does not do well as warm as what we call intermediate here, but needs to be grown cooler.

Mine isn't blooming at the moment (may skip this year but growing well) but has bloomed in the last couple of years. Not so easily compared with growing in an indoor controlled climate, but mine lives on my patio. Winter lows in the low 40's F and occasionally lower for a few hours, winter highs typically in the high 60's to mid 70's F with occasionally warmer days, summer highs can get into the 90s F though usually a bit cooler than that, summer nights typically in the high 60's F. I tend to define "cool" as "It will grow on my patio under ambient conditions". So empirical, not very scientific.

Hi Tenman, hope all is well. I grow my Neocogniauxia with days in the 75F and nights with temps from 60-65F
