Linda, I respect you as a good grower and an active member here, but what you have just posted is a bit too much of..., sure, if it is a Swedish forum, go ahead, write it in Swedish... Your English is fine for the culture sheet, so don't use that for excuse.

Most of the members here are American, and most of us are only comfortable with the inches and fahrenheit. I can do the cm, mm thing, but if you want me to do the celcius for temperature, I will have to take time to look it up. For just few readers and free information, I am just not willing to do that. Sorry! Sometimes, the culture tips from the European members are given in cm and celcius, instead ask them again, I will just look them up and convert them by myself.

I agree with Harry. "Author of the sheet should use whatever they are comfortable with"

Saw what, Tom. Did you just tell Linda not to post culture sheets in a way she is comfortable with while agreeing with Harry that "Author of the sheet should use whatever they are comfortable with"?

I am an American and the we-don't-need-no-stinkin'-forners-here attitude is enough to make me not want to be here. I can only imagine what it does to people who aren't English speakers.

It floors me how agitated people are getting over these sheets.

    Right back at you, Marni!

"Did you just tell Linda not to post culture sheets in a way she is comfortable with while agreeing with Harry that "Author of the sheet should use whatever they are comfortable with"?"

No! but you can manipulate the whole situation all you want, Marni.

Speak for yourself! The only foreign is the language here not the member!

I love em! I've been reading them all afternoon. If I ever bloom something consistently I will add more.

I don't think anybody here has a No Foreigner attitude. (note correct spelling of foreigner)

Let's not start that crap here, the sheets are what they are. We can all enjoy them or not, it was a good idea at the time and I appreciate how Jon and Mr F are trying to keep this place vital and interesting.

I didn't mean to stir up such a fuss, and have apologised to Jon and Forrest for doing so.
Honestly though, to compare translating a foreign language to taking about 10 seconds to download temp/measurement conversions is just astonishing to me.

oh fer crying out loud. Please people, if you want to make an update to the sheet, please do. If an update happens enough(enough people do them, or they appear on enough sheets), then I will personally take the time to modify the template to make it have its own area. Cant we just have people start making some before we argue over semantics? As of right now there are only a few people doing them. Lets get more participation before we get up in arms.

    please?

I understand that we don't feel the same way, and I respect that you post the sheets any way you want to. The sheet itself is a good idea. I'll end my thoughts on it here, since I'm not coming anywhere with my arguments.

Harry thanks for using both in your sheet!

ps. I usually use some kind of translate program to make my english better than it is...
