    Hello, I am fairly new to orchids and am from the US. I tried several times to grow orchids, unsuccessfully, I might add, in Utah. Too dry, I think. I moved to Florida a couple years ago and have set up shop again. I currently have 16 orchids? Mostly Phals. A couple Dendrobium and a couple cattleyas. I am reading, watching (YouTube) and learning. Most of the year I keep them on my screened in porch on the east facing windowsill.

    Welcome to the forum.

    careful ... they are addictive. I started out like you, too. Within 2 years I had built a greenhouse and was accumulating a large collection.
