    Hi.

I’ll be doing my “Novelty Brassavola/Cattleya Alliance Breeding – Spiders And Stars” talk for the Virginia Orchid Society on Sunday, 10/18/09 at 2 PM at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, VA. If you are in the area, you are invited to come to the presentation!

    Here’s what I’ll cover:
Are you growing weary of the meristem, more-of-the-same, big, round, beautiful, Cattleya alliance hybrids? Do you want some “different, unique, or exciting”? This presentation is for you! There’s still hope in the orchid breeding world!
The presentation includes lots of beautiful pictures and the following topics:
    - Breeding goals.
    - Brassavola species – The Building Blocks.
    - Brassavola primary hybrids.
    - Brassokeria (Brassavola X Barkeria hybrids).
    - Other wild & wonderful Brassavola/Cattleya alliance hybrids.

    Thanks,
    Allen Black
