Oncidium zappii is a Brazilian species of small stature. The flowers are about 1.75" wide and the plant is 12" tall.

Marni, is the photo color fairly accurate? I'm trying to decide if the sepals are orange or brown. Is yours mounted or potted?

Kelly, because of the reflective surface it is hard to get the color right. It is brown. It is potted in fine bark with a totem of treefern in the pot so the plant can climb if it wants to (which it does). I have tried it mounted, but it never did as well. I would probably use cork as the backing now.

Wow, doubt if I have seen photo of Onc. (Gomesa) zappii with more flowers on spike. Looks like my plant is going to skip this blooming season :(
