I might be in Colombia in August and wonder if there are any good nurseries to visit, shop for plants and bring them back to the US. Any recommendations? Especially interested to hear if there are any that do not normally come to the US shows....

Maybe Juan Felipe Posada? I know he normally exports through Gary, but he might be amenable to a visit.
I think Orquideas del Valle would also be worth a visit, even though she exports I suspect she has a lot more than what is listed. Also Alma del Bosque - I'm not sure how much they sell, but they have a nice collection.

I second Orquideas del Valle. Good to visit and shopping allowed. Amazing property. Amazing Dracula collection

Definitely check out the above mentioned. I've gotten some really hard to find lepanthes through Gary as requests.
Alma del Bosque has a YouTube channel if you'd like to get a feel for their nursery. I know they do allow visitors.
