Hello all, my wife bought me 2 really cool orchids in Hawaii. One is called d. Sadka x bigibbum compactum #1. The other is d. Walter oumae x halated. I am an avid gardener but new to orchids. We live in Scripps ranch, a suburb of san diego, about 12 miles from the coast. I believe we are zone 10a. I need help! I would love to attach these to some trees in my yard but am not sure if they will live outside in our climate. So.....
    1) will these live outside in a very shady area? Or will they freeze in winter / dry in summer? We r zone 10a . If they can survive outside what are watering and placement recommendations.

    2) if they will not live outside what would placement and watering recommendations be if we kept them inside?

Thanks all, any advice please let me know!
