Pacific Orchid Exposition and parking

    The big orchid show in San Francisco is coming up soon
    FEBRUARY 21 - 23, 2014
    FRIDAY 10AM - 6 PM
    SATURDAY 9AM - 6 PM
    SUNDAY 10AM - 5 PM

    For those of you who have been before you know it is fantastic and also that parking can be an issue. Here is a reply from the SFOS President to help those who will be coming:

    Yes, there will be parking at the Marina school on Saturday and Sunday.
    Note: Its not free, but all the money goes to the school, not Fort Mason
    or the POE. I think it is $10 for the day.

    There will be several shuttle buses running from the Crissy field and
    Marina school parking lots. Additionally, they have changed the entrance
    to Fort Mason so you don't have to wait for "parking" to get in, and you
    don't have to pay to go out. There is now metered parking with those
    computerized stands throughout the area. This should speed up the bus
    services in and out of Fort Mason, which in past years was a real
    bottleneck we could not do anything about.

    No, they've lost my participation for the foreseeable future. But I wouldn't miss seeing the show. I will very happily just be a shopper. I will be at the show on Thursday and Friday. I will have some of my flasks for sale in Botanico's booth.
