I always liked this vendor and have purchased from their Ebay store several times. They have rare plants that are not available otherwise. This is why I feel sort of bad to write this NEGATIVE REVIEW, however, I'm doing this so others are not just wasting their money on nothing as what happened to me.
Two months ago I ordered a plant of Dendrobium lawesii from pog-usa (American representative of Popow) while ordering that plant I asked if it would be possible to order another species (Chelonistele) that I saw on their website. The vendor said no problem and has charged me for additional $40 via PayPal. A month later, the package from the Redlands arrives...with a single plant of D. lawesii. I have contacted the vendor immediately and they said they just forgot to bring another species to the US and offered a refund.
I've been waiting for a refund since late May, over a month. I've tried to contact them several times since then, every time they were saying that the refund will be issued "soon", and finally they haven't even responded back to my last message.
I mean, $40 is a not a big deal, but this is just an unacceptable situation that should not happen when we are dealing with well-known and reputable vendors.

I have dealt with them many times in the last number of years and sometimes things don't get shipped from Germany. However I have always found the US representatives to be fair. The fact that the refund wasn't immediate really surprises me as they are usually right on top of things.

Marni, I'm not surprised that the plant hasn't been shipped from Germany, but I am surprised that the refund hasn't been issued. It takes only a couple of minutes of your time (just log in to your PayPal account!), it shows that you are a responsible vendor, and it makes your customer happy.
I don't know if the vendor reads this forum, but if I eventually get a refund I'm gonna let everybody know, just to keep things fair.

Old thread I know. I recently bought a paph druryii that was sold as having more than one growth - which it didn't on arrival. I requested a partial refund because of this, without naming a number. Popow refunded me 40% no questions asked. I've noticed a few of his auctions are incorrect, but when told, they are corrected. I like his plants.
