echo location malfunction led this BAT to fly into my car and wedge half his body in the small gap between the hood and the front grill. I last opened the hood to check the oil last sunday so it flew into the car probably last monday or tuesday AM while driving to work. It has finally gotten HOT here and was in the mid to upper 90's all week, my car is BLACK - thus Batty is kinda sorta mummified and stuck, stuck real good. I will try to wet and scrape him off today... Batty does make a cool hood ornament though  (( i did not notice him until friday))

Sniff, sniff, there it is again!
Do you smell that smell, oh that smell!
Peter Frampton said that first if I remember right, but he was smelling something different!

    Update:

Batty smelled neither of that smell or the yuck smell - he dried up too fast on that hot black hood to even draw attention from the fly's.

He is now off the hood and propped up on a Laelia Pacavia leaf "guarding" the orchid collection, he seems to be enjoying his new duties. :D
