Bought a seedling at the Maryland Orchid Society show last weekend. It’s so cute! So far I am watering it daily in the morning. When do you think it should be repotted? It has at least five healthy visible roots and is in a two inch basket within a square pot.

From just looking above from it, I would not repot it anytime soon. Perhaps in 6 months to a year from now if roots start start growing. Is it in a black net pot or one of those white plastic pots? I can't tell. When you do repot, choose the method that you want for it long-term. An open basket will encourage roots to grow downwards and plastic pot will make the roots stay more compact, maybe escaping the drainage holes, too.

It is in a black net pot within a black solid pot (drainage at bottom). It has about six roots that are green, and had a white long root coming out the bottom drain hole that broke (the non broken part is viable and I trimmed off the broken dead end).
