Should we go back to the PC subject? I miss what Forrest said about the bunnies.

I've purchased plants from dounoharm on another orchid forum (are we allowed to mention other orchid forums here?) and was very happy with the price, quality and shipping of the plants.

If she, and other people with good quality plants at reasonable prices, are discouraged from selling their plants on this forum (especially since they are not charged to do so on another forum), then this forum will be subtracting value. The goal, in most cases, is to encourage value adding.

Not only that but ads/threads for plants will capture Google searches. Content generates traffic and traffic generates new members and revenue. Revenue can be generated by adding a google ad and signing up for Amazon Associates.

Spamming has nothing to do with the subject...spammers will sign up and spam regardless if there was a $100 fee per plant.

epiphyte, it's a matter of courtesy. Some people understand that, some don't. If you're gonna use someone's platform to peddle your wares it's not unreasonable to show some kind of appreciation. I seriously doubt two stinking dollars is gonna break anyone's bank.

Beyond that..... it's Forrest and Jon's forum. They make the rules.
