From the Latin ovularis, meaning "like an egg" this miniature, warm to cool growing species native to Ecuador, has spherical blooms on sequential spikes that taper from red to orange/yellow.

Amazing plant! I just got one of these a couple months back. When I saw photos of the blooms I fell in love with it! Yours looks so healthy and look at all those spikes! Any tips for me?

I actually just picked this one up from SEPOS this past weekend, so I am not 100% sure of what will work for it. From what I have read, it needs to stay moist with daily waterings and Shady/Bright indirect light.
