Is anyone else getting messages that the search function is unavailable at this time? Happened last week too.

Hmmm... It is working for me. I just did a search for Dendrobium unicum and got 10 pages of results.

I should have said I'm using PC/Windows/Chrome. I tried it again and it is working for me this morning.

Interesting. I just searched for dendrobium (titles only) on Firefox, Safari and Chrome. All came up with "The search could not be completed. Please try again later." I am on a Mac. It may be that I need to upgrade my system. An expensive proposition at this point and something I have been avoiding.

Or maybe it is not my computer system. I just did the same search on my iphone and got the same message. Tried again on my ipad (different IP address and provider) and still no results.

It sounds like a server problem, then. Did you try to search AFTER you log out to check if it is something to do with your account?

I logged out and then rebooted. Same problem.

I does seem to have an odd behavior.

At 6:15 EDT this morning, I tried searching title only for "dendrobium", and received a "couldn't find that" type of response - yes, it searched, but found nothing. Then, knowing Naoki had posted a Macroclinium villenarum thread, I tried "macroclinium" (lower case, genus only) and got the same results.

I then tried exactly as he titled it and got a result, so tried again with just "macroclinium", and this time did get a list of results.

I meant log out from the forum (not from the computer account) and search as a anonymous user. But Ray is having similar issues with search, so something is wrong in the server end.

My initial test of this problem received a "nothing found" result because I did a Title Only search from the forum that Marni posted her message in, Website Support and Feedback. If testing the search function make sure that you uncheck the box "Search this Forum Only".

I tried searching after being logged out and nothing comes up that way either. As long as I know it isn't just me, I'll wait and see if we come up with a fix.

It is still working, so I am going to accept that all is well.
