Fantastic! Thank you Giles. Did you have a guide? I'm sure we will all have lots of questions. You might as well compose a short story about your trip. :D

We had different guides because we visited different parts of Madagascar, specially the central highlands between 1000 and 2600 meters in height!!

Small extract of my adventure: " in search of big Angraecum "

On Friday, February 25th, after night under the tent spent under memorable thunderstorms, we decided to go to see a little higher what we could find. In sights, this summit to begin!!
    aimg859.imageshack.us_img859_1309_img1037j.jpg

Dices the first meters, we crossed a field of Angraecum protensum of hundreds of plants in flower...
    aimg850.imageshack.us_img850_8783_img1175m.jpg aimg856.imageshack.us_img856_1291_angraecumprotensum.jpg

Later about 2 hours of steep little climb, more or less difficult, arrived at the summit to find there still some Angraecums sororium blooming...
    [IMG] aimg855.imageshack.us_img855_6222_angraecumsororium.jpg

... and Angraecum magdalenae regrettably in pods...
    aimg855.imageshack.us_img855_6508_angraecummagdalenae.jpg aimg837.imageshack.us_img837_8758_img1071lw.jpg

Small view towards our base camp look, if you look good, you can see a red tent!!

Oh man. Reminds me of Hillerman's 1970s accounts of angraecoid hunting in Madagascar. Fantastic!
