I want to add a layer on top of part of a greenhouse and am looking for sources for UV Resistant Poly at a good price. Has anyone recently bought any? I'm hoping for a 6 mil with atleast 3 years. The place I used to get it closed.

Hey, Forrest, good to see you surface here. You are kind of like the Lock Ness monster, rarely seen, but always good to see you. Thanks, I'll check them out. Since I posted this I thought to check out McConkey and they carry it too.

    :D

Let me know if you decide to go the Farmtek route. I get coupons from them in my email on a regular basis. I can keep an eye out for one to send you if you would like.

I am probably going to buy this in the next month or two, so if you get one, send it this way. Thanks.

I get mine from Atlas Greenhouse in Georgia. They carry Klercks. They have a clear and a 55% shade plastic. The last batch lasted 8 years for me.

I just used a Farmtek coupon to try out a couple of Rat Zappers. They ship really fast, too.

Be carefull of what you order from Farmtek. I ordered some twin wall Poly Pro from them and it could only stand up to one Texas summer before stating to fall apart. Fortunately, in a hail storm that damaged my home roof, the insurance adjuster allowed me some credit for what he felt was hail damge to the greenhouse. I ordered the replacement panels of twin wall poly corbonate. They have held up very well. I have polly carbonate panels on my main greenhouse and they are eight years old now and also held up to the hail damage done to my home roof. No chips, no cracks, no leaks....

    just tom
