I have tried everything to grow this plant. I bought it in bloom several years ago and its gone downhill the whole time no matter how I try to please it. I live in Florida and despite it being sold as a ground orchid, I grow it in a container due to our wet summers and my low lying area. I always feared it would rot. Has anyone had success with this plant?

I grow them in Miracle-Gro Moisture Control peat-based potting soil in pots. They are fed relatively heavily, are never allowed to dry out, and sit in full sun from dawn til noon, when trees start to shade them.

Mine, which came from Ray, grows in ABG mix, under lights in the winter and outdoors in sun from morning to about 1PM in the summer.

    I, too, keep it moist.
