Spikes stopped growing...

So I've had phal. Heiroglyphica for a few months now and it was in spike when I purchased it. The three flower spikes that it was producing seemed to have just quit growing. The plant is healthy and is producing a new leaf and new roots. I figured maybe a change of conditions caused this but if conditions are good for it to grow, why won't the spikes? They are firm and green and I don't know if I should cut them or not. Will they start growing again?

The three stalled spikes on my hieroglyphics have come alive with bud formation and it also threw out three more spikes!...6! This is one of the more pricey orchids I've purchased so the anticipation of seeing it bloom is shaping up to be worth it I hope!

 

The first bud on my P. hieroglyphica is opening today and hopefully by tomorrow I will get to see the full flower. It seems to be more of a cream color with brown markings rather than pink like I had expected, but I'm happy nonetheless. I will add more pics soon!
