Yeah, I plunked down for some of their imports.

    I got:

Encyc. advena which had leaf-spotting that they said was fungus that occured during shipping. They acknowleged that in a note that came with the shipment. The roots were dry and white; leaves and p-bulbs looked good.

C.(aurantiaca x Festival de Ouro) x (C. Choc. Drop x precious stones) the roots had green tips, slight shrivelling of the leaves.

    C. Penny Kuroda x Corcovado had dry white roots and leaf shrivels. Otherwise OK.

I was expecting some dessication for recent imports. Also you probably can't get these crosses without ordering from Floralia (meeting their minimum order requirements) and getting them to bring them to the US for you to a sale and then shipping them to you. They'd still probably have similar problems. I did this once and three of the five or six plants that i ordered are still alive. Two have bloomed.

I soaked them in a restorative balm and put 'em in an aquarium. Hopefully they'll come out of their sulkiness and be glorious!

This photo was a selling point for me. www. floralia. com.br/photos/ 6781.jpg

I just checked out their website and found that they do not list prices for anything. What's that about?

I ordered some of their regular plants (not recent imports) last winter.
I was pleased with the husky-sized plants; which made up for the fact that they were a little higher-priced than one might expect. I think that I had to ask in order to get their price.
What they did say in their email correspondence; was that they don't do much with their greenhouse during the winter - at least Last Winter. They explained that the plants might be somewhat dry. One plant came that had a spike. I was amazed to see that the next day after hanging it up in front of a cfl lamp - a black fluid leaking out where the stem emerged from the leaf. I sprayed it w fungicide and babied it; but lost the spike. I sprayed all of the plants w fungicide; since they all came in the same box. They're all still alive and doing OK.
Anyway the fungi explosion looked to me like something that came about due to the change in circ of the plants - a sort-of opportunistic infection; rather than something that would have been obvious to a shipper while boxing the plants.
