The search function again

    During the last year or so the possibility to search for a topic, a thread or anything that has been posted in this forum, has become increasingly difficult. The last time I searched for something at this site I only found posts up to 2009, nothing later. Nowadays, I normally search using Google where I also enter Orchids Forum in the search field.

    Please do something about the search function!

    Arne, I agree. I asked the owner of the forum again last week to please fix the search function. Kelly and I have asked multiple times since it lessens the usefulness of the forum greatly. We are volunteers and have no ability to do that sort of thing ourselves.

    Thanks, Arne, this idea helped me find the thread I made on storing pollen. I had tried looking for it a couple of times in the last months. I had wanted to refer people to it rather than having to re-create it. There is a lot of great information in the archives.

    I just tried the search function. It works sort of, but does not bring up everything within the parameters of the search. Have others tried it out?

    It still works pretty poorly Marni. For instance, if you search for Coelogyne pulchella in Google and also enter "orchids forum", you will find several posts for instance this : Coelogyne pulchella

    I don't find this post if I use the search function.
