Trichocentrum albococcineum

    This is from Peru. I've grown this species (not this clone) for quite a few years in intermediate conditions and haven't bloomed any until now that I have it in the warm greenhouse. It is not only beautiful, it is fragrant.

    The lip is about 1" wide and the leaves are about 3-4" long.

    Thanks Marni. Trichos are difficult for me, my GH it's to cold for them.

    Juan, Trichocentrum longicalcaratum (frequently sold as brandtiae) is a cool grower. Also Trichocentrum pulchrum from Colombia. All of the pulchrum I got from Peru have not done well cool. Also, they need to dry between waterings so I don't let any moss build up on them.
