In the past I have alternated between Safari and Merit 75 WP to control pests. However, recently I lost my notes concerning the dosage of the product for use on orchids. The label is of no use when it comes to orchids. Has anyone used this product? How much do you use per gallon of water for spraying? I appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

If it has a recommended rate for roses, use that. If not, but there is one for ornamentals, that’s OK, too.

I have never used the 75% stuff, but the premixed liquid stuff I have used was 1.5% imidacloprid, and I used that at 1 ounce/gallon, yielding a final concentration of about 0.012% in the final concentration.

That roughly translates to about 0.6 grams of the 75% stuff per gallon.

I use Safari at 1/2 to 1 tsp per gallon as per the label. From my notes Merit is 1/10 tsp per gallon. 1 level teaspoon = 1.4 grams Merit 75wp.
