Late post for this one. This is my first time blooming this guy. I grow it outdoors in a claypot with LECA.

This species is supposed to be fragrant, but I have not detected any. Can anyone confirm if this one is fragrant or not?

Nice showing. Looks like it is on a small plant, too.

I just went and checked for fragrance on the V roeblingiana I could easily reach. I didn't detect a fragrance. But that doesn't mean that it isn't fragrant at some time under some conditions. I once spent quite a bit of effort checking Dendrobium (Cadetia) chionanthum for fragrance because I was writing an article about the species. I tried at different times of day (and night) and on cloudy and sunny days. I finally found the conditions that it was fragrant in my greenhouse. It was around 11 am just after it had been watered.

I am not sure if this clone is fragrant or not. For the past 3 years I've had it, I never smelled anything during the morning, day, or night. I haven't tried smelling after it was watered.

My other roeblingiana is fragrant during the day. The fragrance smells like cypress.

I know with Vanda amesiana, some clones are very fragrant and others have no fragrance at all. This may be another instance.
